it has been a pleasure studying the my course because all the lecturers are very helping and friendly. if i even encountered problems regarding the projects, studies or even assignment, if they use their free time to help us out regardless of how tired they are.as i am a local student, hence going into the college was not much of a problem for me. after i have completed my 'O' levels, i applied for the course to study in NYP and soon after that, they inform me i was selected to study in the college.there are bursary for students to apply and for myself, i am also applying the bursary every year. every semester the college will also email us to inform us that the bursary has started.i am studying in IT and i have to face the computer almost everyday, however in this years of studying in IT, i have learnt alot of new software and programming skills. for my course, the average hours of studying per week is around 25hours. All the tutors and lecturers are very helpful too, and i will get most of the help when in time of needs.although my college does not have much facilities for entertainment but it do have sports complex, swimming pool, gym, basketball courts, tennis court etc. as my college are located near the houseing estates, hence there are quite a number of coffee shops around with good foods too. the fellow classmates are very friendly too.i believed that the job propects will increased when studying in my college because there are alot of examples from my seniors when they have completed their studies, soon after that the job they applied for, most of them were selected, and reported in the news, they say that IT courses among the 5 polytechnics school, NYP has the highest rating for getting a job after graduation. if there is an alumni association after i have graduated, i will definitely join so that i can keep in contact wid my fellow classmates and fellow coursemates too.

Yes, i definitely enjoy my polytechnic life at Nanyang Polytechnic. The most important advice I would give is manage yo...ur time and balancing your studies. At the same time, be independent and responsible for every tasks given. No comments.Scholarship available are: -busary awards -scholarship awards Notices will be given to our student email or school portal. My course is all about management and accounting. Vary from learning the accounting systems and the business way of managing, setting up and accounting your business assets. A total of at least 4 days a day, Lecturers and tutors are friendly and helpful. Yes, i receive the support which I need. The couse value is worth the money.Facilities like gym, indoor sports hall, swimming pool, rock climbing are available in the campus. Yes, i believe my job prospects have increased as a result of your studies. I would like to further studies after my graduation in the polytechnic.

The student life is okay because you also have to study. You cannot have fun always otherwise your studies will be affe...cted. Make friends as quickly as you can because then you will enjoy. Classmates are nice people to be friends with because your studies will also be the same and you can discuss and work out problems of studies together. We don’t have any special qualification for my course. If you result is good with good scores then it is not a problem. I think, I did not have any problem with my admission and it was quite easy, - not hard.Sorry, I don’t have information about scholarship but you need to meet criteria to get scholarship.Business studies have theory. It can get boring but if you like accounts and things like numbers then you should be fine with your course. The reason I chose this course is because I want to open a business later on. A student should always keep in mind what they want to do in future and accordingly choose the field of study. Don’t just waste your time in studying things that you are not interested and which wont help you in the future. The cafes are good, internet, library facilities, some shops like convenience stores etc are also available on campus. I live quite a distance from here but transport is good so it is not much problem but if you are new to Singapore then it is good to live near the campus. I am a member of student union. There are things like music programs, prizes etc going on in campus and its lively place that time. I want to open a business later on, the studies will give me knowledge on how to go about opening, running, keeping a business. I think the course is useful for me.

At NP, we have functions like music and dance programs organized by the student bodies, so that is some time for fun. I... would like to advice that, the students follow rules and do what is expected of them to do.GCE ”O“ level entry, that was required for entrance into the course. Not very hard, stringent. You can clear any doubts if you have about the admission and stuff through the office or email/internet.Range of scholarships are available and they are canvassed too. I mean most of the students know about scholarships but only a few apply because we know that the criteria is not easy to meet. Apart from that, local student, I get subsidy from the government.I think that programming is an interesting topic esp. java. You can implement the codes and use it on websites or you can even develop some applications. At intermediate level its quite easy, but expert level, it gets a bit complicated and time consuming. I love computers, so I study here everyday and the teacher support is also good.We have Mc donalds, cafes, different food right here on campus. Library, internet and student clubs are also over here which we can join any time that we like. Transport is also good as it is close to MRT. I work casually even while I am studying, more like a free lancer sometimes, doing tutoring, web designing etc but its not a fixed one. Whenever I get projects or something like that I do it. If you believe that you are good then there is a good employment opportunity in the future. We also have alumni groups that we can join and it seems to be a good idea to join and keep in touch with our classmates, so ”yes“ why not.

NYP – the lecturers are friendly, approachable and if you have any problems, they don’t hesitate to reply you back thro...ugh email. One of the things that appeal to me about the college is well equipped PC. There is no shortage of PC, there are too many at students disposal. There is WIFI too. Apart from that, we also have E-LEARNING where a student can log in online and learn. My message to any student thinking of coming here are ”welcome with open hands’.The usual entry is through ”O“ level, but in my case, my ”O“ level results were not good. So, it was through JPSAE that I got entry into my course, I used my CCA points to get in.Present case, I don’t get any scholarship for my studies.I am studying diploma in engineering informatics. The course is a hybrid course including software, hardware and business. The classes are held throughout the week – Monday – Friday. This course is also collaborated with networking giant CISCO.We have two computer labs. One lab has computers running mac os and the other Microsoft windows used for programming etc. I am not working currently but work is easy to get. At the moment, I would like to focus more on my studies. I have not joined any clubs in my college. However, the place is quite multicultural like students from Malaysia, India, Bangladesh etc – huge diversity.Right after I finish my course, I will enter the army as it is mandatory for Singapore citizens. After that, I will come out and look for a job. I believe there is an alumni association and I will join it.
